First question you want to know when placing an order, right? Ok maybe “what’s the cost?”, but this one is a close second. And it’s a little more complicated than a number next to a dollar sign because…it depends.
Screen Print Orders
The Rule of Thumb: 5 business days after art approval.
The Set-Up: Art approval for a screen print order means you have sent in the logo/artwork for your product, it has been examined and set-up on a digital garment (let’s say…a t-shirt) and a digital proof of your t-shirt design is sent back to you for review and approval. THAT is when production begins. 1-2 business days for art approval is standard.
The Bottom Line: Allow yourself at least 7 business days for screen print orders.
Let’s assume you have answered all of the Embroidery 101 questions going into your order, and let’s also assume you do NOT have your logo digitized into a stitch-able file for application.
The Rule of Thumb: 7-10 business days after art approval.
The Set-Up: In order to stitch your logo/artwork on a garment, it requires a certain file type, which is created by “digitizing” the file. Art approval for an embroidery order means that you have sent in the logo/artwork for your product and a “stitch-out” has been produced, photographed and emailed to you for your approval. THAT is when production begins. 3 business days to get your logo in the appropriate digitized file type is standard.
The Bottom Line: Allow yourself 10-13 business days after art approval for embroidery orders (but only 5-7 days if your logo is digitized and ready to go!).
The Set-Up: Very similar to the screen print set-up, your artwork is digitally placed on your product and a digital rending is emailed for review and approval. THAT is when production begins. 1-2 business days for art approval is standard.
The Bottom Line: Allow yourself 11-12 business days for promotional product orders.
Digitally Printed Paper-Goods – Brochures, business cards, flyers, posters and more…
The Set-Up: If your file is sent print-ready, there is no artwork set-up involved. Sometimes it might be important to you to see a physical proof so you can check color, paper stock and binding, and if that’s the case you will want to inform us in advance (and allow an extra day or so). Otherwise – production begins when your file is received.
The Bottom Line: Allow 3-5 business days for your digital print orders (or 4-6 if a hard copy proof is required).
*DISCLAIMER * (not to be mistaken for fine print because this is important): We can turn any of the above around in 24 hours if needed. We’ve done it before and we can do it again. There are a growing number of promotional product suppliers and traditional paper-good printers that offer a rush option, and since we manage our screen printing and embroidery we can adjust production as needed to meet the needs of our customers.
